Tuition and aid
Tuition and financial aid.
- Tuition
- Tuition for Grades 9 to 12 in 2026-27 is $66,950.
- What tuition includes
- Tuition includes before- and after-school care, lunch and most school expenses such as the intercampus shuttle, yearbooks, local field trips and athletic uniforms.
- Not included
- Laptops, which are required for middle and upper school students, and textbooks are not included in tuition. Specific activity choices and elective travel can add cost.
- Aid each year
- Harker awards approximately $10 million in financial aid each year.
- Need-blind admission
- Harker says its admission process is need-blind and that applying for aid will not affect a child's chances. Aid applications are reviewed separately, after admission decisions.
- Who can get aid
- Harker offers need-based financial aid for kindergarten through Grade 12, and no merit, athletic or talent-based scholarships.
- How to apply
- To apply, answer yes to "Do you intend to apply for financial aid?" on the admission application. Harker then sends a code to use for the Clarity financial aid application.
- Documents and deadline
- The Clarity application and documents are due January 5, 2027: the 2026 federal tax return (Form 1040 with all schedules) if available, 2026 W-2 forms, 2026 1099 forms if applicable and anything else Clarity requests.
- Late tax return
- If the 2026 federal tax return is not available by January 5, submit it through Clarity no later than February 16, 2027.
- Decision
- Aid decisions are shared with admitted students at the same time as admission decisions, in mid-March.
- Every year
- Families receiving aid reapply every year with updated financial information, and both legal parents must complete an aid application unless legal documentation supports an exception.
- When to apply
- Harker says that if a family might need aid at any point, it is best to apply with the first application, because later-year aid may not be available without a significant change in circumstances.
- Clarity
- Harker uses Clarity to assess demonstrated need. Most families finish the application in about 30 minutes, and Clarity charges a $65 fee that is automatically waived for families who meet its income guidelines.
- Information session
- Harker holds a financial aid information session each December, registered through Ravenna and recorded. Clarity also lists a webinar on Tuesday, December 8 at 5:30 p.m.
- Examples
- Harker publishes six illustrative aid examples. In one, a single parent with one child in private school and income of $128,180 receives an award of $64,450 and contributes $2,500 on $66,950 tuition. The school calls these illustrative models, not predictions.
